I just moved into a small apartment. My parents were bodybuilders in their previous years, so there’s a full gym at their house. I dont like going to the gym, because I prefer to work out more at my leisure, but now that I’ve moved out of their house into my own place, I dont have my own gym at home anymore. They live 45 minutes away, so I dont want to drive to their house to use their equipment either.

All I want to do is get in shape, like what I see in the mirror better. But I think I can get a more comprehensive workout with a Bowflex. Also, doesn’t a home gym promote proper form and stuff? Be honest, should I just buy some free weights and a bench?

im a sophomore in high school. (im a skinny guy lol) i have been working out at my school’s gym, but now im looking to do buy a home gym. my parents agreed to it. ok first of all, i have almost no space to put anything except 1 thing. length of it must be under 5ft. so benches and barbells wont do it bcuz they are over 5ft. so the only thing i can get is a bowflex type of machine. i have a problem right now and im quite confused. im a sophomore in high school and i go to my school’s gym to work out.im very skinny and kinda short too lol. i want to get a home gym so i dont have to go to the gym anymore and i can also work out on weekends. this is something that i had in mind:

I have no confidence to go the gym so I was thinking of buying a some weights and a bench, would this work in helping me gain much muscle mass I want to gain 18 pounds and not sure what equipment I will need. Would I be able to get the right equipment with £100 or do I need a gym?

I was thinking of putting a bench and free weights in my garage. Perhaps some hand holds in the rafters. I’ll seek some expert guidance this spring.
Can you give me advice on how to setup a home gym for rock climbing?
Are there good exercises specific to rock climbing?
